About us
Rete Felina is a project by Animal Law Italia (ALI), the organisation that has been using the law to protect animals since 2016.
We are the Animals’ Lawyers
Animal Law Italia ETS is a non-profit organisation founded in 2016 by lawyers, animal welfare experts and bioethicists. It works with volunteers and independent researchers to put animals at the centre of public debate, to achieve “fair laws for animals” and to ensure that existing laws are properly enforced.
Rete Felina does the same for free-roaming cats: the good practices found in a few municipalities need to become clear rules, applied equally and enforced everywhere.
How the network is structured
The project connects people and expertise to help overcome the practical obstacles that stand in the way of enforcing the rules.

Coordinates and oversees the network, managing contact with local caretakers and legal experts.
